FarmTest’s automated on-farm performance testing tools will work in any crop that has GPS-enabled yield monitors. This includes major row crops like corn/maize, soybeans, wheat, rice, canola, cotton, and sorghum, and some specialty crops like processing tomatoes, sugar beets, and potatoes.

FarmTest’s automated on-farm performance testing tools will work with any management practice that can be controlled (on/off, option A/option B, or multiple rates) with a planter or applicator rate controller that records as-planted or as-applied data. This includes seeding rate, hybrid or variety, fertilizers like nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), starter, micronutrients, biologicals and microbials, cover crops, and tillage.

FarmTest’s software produces a definitive report within two weeks of receiving harvest and other data, i.e. crop and input prices. Last year we delivered all our reports by December 20 so our clients could make purchase decisions for the next growing season with confidence.

Yes. FarmTest’s software supports randomized plot trials and strip trials. If a trial’s goals and requirements allow for scripted plot trials, plot trials tend to produce higher precision, or the same uncertainty using less of the field putting less profit at risk. For cases where strip trials are the only practical solution, our randomized strip trials offer statistically-robust design and fast analysis and reporting.
